Last year I was driving south along I-5 in Washington state when I saw this Cobra on display at the Veterans’ Memorial Museum in Chehalis. It looked so much like the scene I imagined for Road King Chronicles: Second Hand Snake that I had to pull over for a visit. It’s nice to see memorials like this one, especially when they are easily viewed by anyone driving by.
Wish there were more Cobras in flying condition, though.
These kinds of memorial displays can be found in front of many American Legion posts, Veterans of Foreign Wars posts, at the front gates of military bases and many other locations around the country. If you’ve got a favorite, share it with us.
